New Year, New Features

January 9, 2019

2018 was a busy year for us. We moved into a new office, tripled the size of our team, and we added a bunch of new product features. Many of these features, described in previous blogs, were implemented in the second half of last year. But two of our biggest, most-requested features have been added just in time to celebrate the new year.

Quotes and Work Orders

Quotes and work orders give customers more information up front, allowing them to make informed decisions before work begins. By putting your customers in control, you increase their confidence in your business, providing greater transparency about the work being done. We know that first impressions are critical. That's why we worked with several of our customers to design this feature with their own customers in mind.

Included in our new Pro Plan, our new quotes and work orders feature is now incorporated with our existing invoicing feature. You can quickly create a quote, and then follow it from a work order to an invoice, all from a customer's page. Using the same information throughout the invoicing process eliminates the need to create separate quotes, work orders, and invoices from scratch. Instead, you can quickly add or remove line items as needed to tailor a quote or work order to your customer's specific situation.

You can also approve and schedule quotes, or mark work orders as complete with the click of a button. And similar to our current invoices, quotes and work orders can be printed or emailed to customers. This ensures that everyone is literally on the same page about the work being done. No unexpected surprises mean happier customers.

QuickBooks Integration

For our customers who use QuickBooks® software and want to sync customer and invoice data with Syncta, we offer the new QuickBooks integration. Also included in our Pro Plan, the integration between Syncta and QuickBooks syncs customer records and invoices between the two systems, reducing the need to enter the same information twice. Any new customer information entered in QuickBooks will be added in Syncta, and any new invoices created in Syncta will be added in QuickBooks.

We will work with you during initial setup to ensure that customer records between the two systems match, and that invoice data will sync correctly once the integration is turned on. For many of our customers, this feature has been a long time coming. Similar to quotes and work orders, we worked closely we key customers to develop and test the integration between the two systems.
